When we first began working together, we had to brainstorm a lot. Our wildest idea was a glove which you would wear while petting a cat. The design would collect the static electricity from the fur and store it for later use, such as a charging a cell phone. Our original problem was the immensity of air pollution that cars create. Cars release toxins (carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxide) through their exhaust exhaust pipes. After much research, we discovered many progressive designs for filtering carbon, and thus decided to challenge ourselves in new ways.
We all love cars. Driving and the desire to make vehicles more efficient brought us to our current design. One day, during a brainstorming session, Valkyrie drew a "solar ball car". The solar ball car is spherical and rolls like a ball instead of traveling on wheels. The exterior is made of solar panels generating solar electricity to power the vehicle. After some time, our idea moved away from solar energy into magnetic energy.
